Help and Hope for Parents of Teens Suffering from Substance Abuse

We know this is a difficult time, and that you have questions.
Please reach out. We can help.

Teen and Family Services is a program designed to meet the specific needs of adolescents. It is research based and addresses not only abstinence from high risk behaviors such as substance abuse, the curriculum also helps develop life skills.

Working from the belief that high risk behavior is often an indicator of other difficulties, our program helps teens gain skills in feelings identification and expression, anger and anxiety management, family communication, academic performance and social interactions.

Our unique approach integrates therapeutic growth opportunities into many different environments including pro-social activities, teen and parent support groups, individual and family counseling and outdoor adventure trips.

Most adolescent programs fail because they are not designed to engage teens in fun, inviting, kid friendly environments. Instead they attempt to use adult interventions that are not only ineffective, they have no foundation in research-based practice.

Through our partnership with University of Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, The Association of Alternative Peer Groups and The Association of Recovery Schools we have created independent peer reviewed research that validates the effectiveness of our model. TAFS WORKS!

If you have a teen who is struggling, please reach out for help. TAFS will meet with you and your family free of charge to help you determine the best course of action, either with us or one of our many community partners in the Greater Houston area.
