Please reach out. We can help.

Teen and Family Services is a community based recovery program designed to meet the specific needs of adolescents. It is research based, and helps teens develop the skills to overcome mental health and substance use challenges.

When teens struggle with mental health and high risk behaviors it is often an indicator and may exist in combination with other difficulties. Our program helps teens gain skills in feelings, identification and expression, anger and anxiety management, family communication, academic performance and social interactions.

Our unique approach integrates therapeutic growth opportunities into many different environments including pro-social activities, teen and parent support groups, individual and family counseling and outdoor adventure trips.

85% of adolescent treatment programs fail to create long term change because they are not designed to engage teens in fun, inviting, kid friendly environments.* (according to Baylor College of Medecine) Instead they attempt to use adult interventions that are not only ineffective, they have no foundation in research-based practice.

Through our partnership with University of Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, and The Association of Recovery Schools, we have created independent peer reviewed research that validates the effectiveness of our model. TAFS WORKS!

If you have a teen who is struggling, please reach out for help. TAFS will meet with you and your family free of charge to help you determine the best course of action, either with us or one of our many community partners in the Greater Houston area.
